Here is what our ambassadors will be doing with their ESOP pay-out:
Lwazi Ndlovu
“Firstly, I would like to say thank you to the company’s executives for this life-changing reward, for allowing us to share in the company’s growth. With my ESOP shares, I have planned to further my studies and to re-invest some of my shares as I have faith in the growth of the company. I will also keep a portion aside for any future emergencies.”
Tsepo Mphuti
“Clicks shares were awarded to us in 2011, and I was very happy to receive this opportunity. During this tough economic stage, it is not always possible to save towards our children’s education. upon the payout of my shares, I will invest it further to ensure financial stability for my children’s studies.”
Sharda Singh
“I plan to use my shares to plan a trip to Mauritius. This was the place my husband took me for our honeymoon, so I plan to surprise him with a trip to Mauritius for our 37th anniversary.”
Bongiwe Zondi
“In preparation for my pay-out in February 2018, I have booked my learner driver test for the 28th of August 2017. I hope to get my drivers licence by January 2018. This will be my first car. I have already started pricing cars. If it was not through ESOP I would never have been able to purchase a vehicle of my own, ever!”
Portia Mohale
“I’m very grateful to be a holder of Clicks ESOP shares. When I get my shares in February I’m going to take 30% and invest for my kids to use for tertiary education and 70% will do renovations at my home. I have been living in a yard that doesn’t have a fence and a gate. It’s not safe for my children to play around without having someone older at home they need close supervision. When I receive my shares I am going to install a fence with a big beautiful strong gate. Our kids will play around the yard anytime without me being worried because they will be safe and that will be an achievement for me. Thank you Clicks Group, you make me feel good.”
Tshifhiwa Ndou
“I have been struggling to save enough money to pay for my child’s university fees. my daughter, Mashudu is 10 years old and will be going to university in eight years’ time. I will buy Clicks ordinary shares and save the dividends I will be getting every year into a fund for her university fees. By 2025 I will have saved enough, and if it’s not, I will then sell the shares to cover any shortfall on her university fees”
Gloria Mthethwa
“I started working for Clicks as a cleaner in early 2006, I then applied for a job as Festive Flexi, under Cecilia Phillips at Clicks Gateway where I worked for two years with her and her team. I was trained in all departments. I was so happy that I had progressed from a cleaner to an employee of the store. I am proud of the company I work for as it has enabled me to provide education for my three kids as a single parent. I am ecstatic to be a shareholder and I am looking forward to February 2018. All my life I’ve invested money in my children, I’ve never had the opportunity to do something for myself. I want to spend the money on a well-deserved getaway in Cape Town and stand on the top of Table mountain.”
Farieda Fatima Klaasen
“I have been employed at UPD since 5 August 1992 as a picker and currently fill the role of a Despatch Export Clerk. I have 25 years of employment with UPD. Hearing that Clicks awarded employees a number of shares in 2011, it was a fairy tale surprise and I am happy knowing that there will be money that I can give to my grandson for his studies. The dividend payment every year assisted me to contribute to daily expenses such as transport. I am so looking forward to the first payment at the end of February 2018. This will be used towards my grandson’s varsity fees. He will be studying electrical engineering at the university of Potchefstroom.”
